A Conversation with our Farrier Sean McRoberts
We keep our horses unshod or “barefoot” and our farrier, Sean McRoberts comes out about every eight weeks to trim them up. Sean has an interesting life. He spent years riding bulls professionally and almost made it to the NFR. He traveled around the country following the rodeo circuit until injuries and age led him to retire from bull riding. Now he makes a living working with horses’ feet. But Sean loves to compete, and he is a top team roper. He knows a lot about horses, cows and cowboys and he’s got a lot of stories to tell.
The sound quality is not always the best, but I love the sound of the nippers, rasps, and even the birds and dogs making noise. What does your farrier talk about? Feel free to share your experiences with us email us at john@whoapodcast.com. Thanks for listening!
