We enlisted expert trainers to help with our “Helpful Horse Tips”.  This week’s guest is Maria Liverett.

My tip for this beautiful spring day:  Just go somewhere with your horse.  Once you get there you will see that it was not as hard as you thought it would be to get there.  More than likely the thought of going is harder than actually getting there.  Think of your horse like a puppy / companion dog.  The more places you take him or her the better both of you will get along together.  And both of you will gain confidence in each other and other people and other horses.  Even if you don’t climb on just walk around and then tie up your baby to the trailer and have lunch.  At least you went.
